Mercedes C-Class

1. Disconnect a negative cable (-) the storage battery at the switched-off ignition. Previously it is necessary to remove a box of the filter of air of salon.

Before a detachment of a cable find out a protective code of a radio receiver if that is available, address to the Section Replacement of the storage battery.

2. Open an ashtray cover, press forward an insert and release it. Take out an ashtray insert.

3. By means of a screw-driver wring out lock levels (arrows on an illustration) at the left and on the right, release the case of an ashtray (1) and take out it. Thus the case take out for an ashtray cover.

4. Carefully disunite the socket of a lamp of illumination of an ashtray. The lamp can be broken easily.
5. Take out an ashtray from the central console.

6. By means of a plastic wedge, for example, HAZET 1965-20 take out from the central console a frame of a protective cover (1) lever of switching of transfers/selector.

7. AT selector: Disconnect the tip from a reverse side of a frame of a protective cover from a level of switches.
8. Turn counter-clockwise the handle (2) and remove from the lever/selector.

9. Disconnect strong breakthrough a cover (1) lever/selector from two holders of clips.

10. Pull a cover forward from directing and take out from the central console.
11. Depending on model disconnect the socket from a reverse side of a cover from a level of switches.
12. Take out a cover from the central console.

13. Turn out 2 screws (1).

14. Disconnect lateral covers (2) on the right and at the left in console tunnels.
15. Turn on Ѕ a turn the screws (3) located behind covers (2 pieces) and disconnect the central console.

16. Displace back a cover (1) over the lighter in the central console. (4) – big pocket.

17. By means of a screw-driver disconnect the holder a banok (2).
18. Slightly press on a small pocket (3) outside, incline it aside and take out from the central console.
19. Disconnect a support for the lighter from the holder, press back and disunite the socket as it is described in the Section Removal and lighter installation.

20. Turn out 2 screws (1) under the lighter. At model 722.6 AT at installation it is necessary to replace being self-stopped screws on new and to adjust draft of switching.

21. Release the central armrest and cast away it up.

22. Take out a rug in a big pocket (1) and turn out screws (2) lying under it.

23. Raise behind the central console and remove it from a floor.

1. Installation is carried out in sequence, return to removal.
2. Attach a negative cable (-) to a battery battery room at the switched-off ignition. Establish into place a box of the filter of air of salon. Enter a code of a radio receiver and establish time on hours.
