Removal and installation of the fuel pump and sensor of a stock of fuel

Fuel tank, pump and sensor of a stock of fuel. Petrol engine

Petrol engine: The electric fuel pump together with the sensor of a stock of fuel is in the right half of a fuel tank. Separately they cannot be replaced. The second sensor of a stock of fuel is located in the left chamber of a fuel tank.

Diesel engine: As fuel is sucked in from the toplivopodkachivayushchy pump with a kulachkovy drive, in a tank the sensors, respectively everyone in the chamber of a fuel tank are located only.

Before removal of a tank it is necessary to empty it in the course of movement of the car or to pump out fuel the special pump in the capacity intended for this purpose. It is necessary to watch good ventilation of a workplace thus. The radial fan which electric motor is located outside of an air stream can be applied to this purpose.

At removal of the fuel pump a fuel quantity can flow out. Fuel pairs are poisonous and inflammable. Therefore it is necessary to watch good ventilation of a workplace. Exclude fuel hits on skin. Wear the gloves, resistant fuels in relation to influence. Do not use open fire!


Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Here removal of the sensor of a stock of fuel of the diesel engine is described. At the petrol engine removal is made similarly.


For carrying out the following works do not connect the auxiliary power supply since the monitor can be damaged by the engine.

1. Disconnect a negative cable (-) the storage battery at the switched-off ignition. Previously it is necessary to remove a box of the filter of air of salon.

Before a detachment of a cable find out a protective code of a radio receiver if that is available, address to the Section Replacement of the storage battery.

2. Empty a fuel tank. At a full tank suck away from the right chamber about 20 l of fuel.
3. Cast away forward pillows of a seat or remove them.
4. Cast away back a floor covering.

5. Turn on both covers (1).

6. Disunite the socket the left (2) sensors of a stock of fuel.

7. Disconnect the pipeline of a supply of fuel (3) and fuel (4) return at the left sensor of a stock.
8. Unscrew by means of a kulachkovy key round nuts (5). If the specified tool available is not present, unscrew the sensor by means of an alligator wrench or a core from a firm tree and easy blows of a hammer.

Spark emergence since it can be at the bottom of a fire is not allowed.

9. Uncover (6) with a profile sealing ring.
10. Take out the right sensor of a stock of fuel a little.
11. Disunite the socket of the right sensor.
12. If the sensor is replaced, disunite connecting pipes on the right sensor.

New sensors of a stock are equipped with couplings on connecting pipes.

13. Take out carefully both sensors from a tank. Thus enclose a rag and wipe following fuel.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Clear interfaced surfaces on a tank and on stock sensors.

Dirt hit in a fuel tank is not allowed.

2. Establish on the left sensor new laying from the profile rubber made in order that it could not get to a fuel tank.
3. Pass connecting pipes and the tip through a fuel tank.
4. Remove a profile sealing ring from the left sensor and establish it on a tank.
5. Join couplings or connecting pipes.
6. Join an electric wire of the right sensor of a stock.
7. Establish the right sensor with a new profile sealing ring.
8. Establish a cover of the sensor of a stock of fuel so that labels on a cover and a fuel tank coincided.
9. Tighten round nuts the moment 85Нм.
10. Put on the left sensor a hose of a supply and removal of fuel and fix collars.
11. Join the socket of the left sensor of a stock of fuel.
12. Check a sealing cord of a cover of a fuel tank and if necessary replace.
13. Establish a cover and wrap it on the bottom.
14. Cast away back a floor covering.
15. Cast away back or establish a seat pillow.
16. Attach a negative cable (-) to a battery battery room at the switched-off ignition. Establish into place a box of the filter of air of salon. Enter a code of a radio receiver and establish time on hours.


Petrol engines

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Here difference from the diesel engine is described only.

1. Disconnect collars of fastening of a pillow of a seat.
2. Unscrew a kulachkovy key a round nut (5) fuel pump and the sensor of a stock of fuel (2). If the specified tool available is not present, unscrew the sensor by means of an alligator wrench or a core from a firm tree and easy blows of a hammer.

Spark emergence since it can be at the bottom of a fire is not allowed.

3. Disunite the socket of the right sensor of a stock of fuel.
4. Disconnect a hose of a supply of fuel from the fuel pump.

The right sensor and the fuel pump form uniform knot.

5. Take out the right sensor of a stock of fuel a little.
6. Disconnect a hose of removal of fuel from the right sensor.
7. Carefully take out the fuel pump with the right sensor from a fuel tank. Enclose a rag and wipe following fuel.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Clear an interfaced surface of a fuel tank and the holder of the fuel pump.

Dirt hit in the fuel pump is not allowed.

2. Check three support of the sensor of a stock of fuel at the bottom of a tank, if necessary replace the block of the fuel pump and the sensor of a stock of fuel.
3. Put on a hose fuel plum the right sensor.
4. Put on a hose of a supply of fuel the fuel pump.
5. Carefully insert the fuel pump with the sensor and a new sealing ring and check their situation. The label on a cover should coincide with a label on a tank.
6. Establish a new profile sealing ring.
7. Wrap a ring nut and fix it the moment 85Нм.
8. Fix collars of a pillow of a back seat.
