Removal and installation of power shafts of wheels

At damage external, located from a wheel, the hinge of equal angular speeds the corresponding shaft should be replaced completely.



1. Tighten the parking brake.

 At an otvorachivaniye of a nut of fastening of a wheel the car should stand wheels on the earth. Include transfer, tighten a brake. Big moment of an otvorachivaniye. There is a danger of accident!

2. Unbend a screw-driver a fillet of a nut of fastening of a wheel from a shaft groove. A nut unscrew a dvenadtsatigranny head.

3. Release the parking brake.
4. Mark with paint the provision of back wheels concerning a nave. It will allow to establish at assembly the balanced wheels in their former situation. Weaken bolts of fastening of wheels before a car poddomkrachivaniye. Lift a back part of the car, put it on supports and remove back wheels.
5. Disconnect a back support and fix it a wire to a body, address to the Section Removal and installation of a back support.

Do not disconnect a brake hose. Otherwise after installation it is necessary to delete air from brake system.

6. Remove the connecting bar going to the stabilizer.
7. Disconnect the sensor of number of turns from a fist.
8. Disconnect steering draft from a fist.
9. Cast away a fist outside and at the same time squeeze out a power shaft from a flange.

Thus do not draw a brake cable. Do not damage protective covers and a gear ring of the sensor of turns.

10. Cast away back a fist and fix a wire.

11. If the power shaft densely sits in a flange, squeeze out it a usual stripper.

Unlike represented on an accompanying illustration the support is removed.

Power shaft of execution 1


1. Take out a power shaft (1) with the internal hinge (2) of the main transfer (3).

Thus do not damage a sealing ring in the main transfer.

If necessary disconnect a power shaft in hammer blows on an external ring of the hinge and by means of the corresponding drift.

2. Visually check damages of a cuff to the main transfer, if necessary replace.

For this purpose squeeze out a screw-driver a cuff. Before installation grease a working edge of a cuff with universal oil for gipoidny SAE 85W-90 broadcasts. Press a cuff by means of the corresponding drift.

Power shaft of execution 2


1. Turn out 6 screws of fastening of Torx and disconnect a power shaft (1) from a connecting flange (2). (3) – main transfer.

Watch the correct provision of a face head in Torx screw head. If necessary clear a Torx screw profile.

2. Shift a power shaft, then incline down and remove.

Watch that at removal of a shaft the locking cover did not act in film.

3. Check a protective cover and a locking cover on tightness and existence of damages, if necessary repair.

At the removed power shaft the car should not stand on wheels with full loading and should not move, since in the absence of an axial tightness bodies of a kacheniye of the bearing of a wheel can be damaged.



If at removal of a power shaft the application of the big effort necessary for expression of a nave of a wheel is demanded, it is recommended to cut on the end of a shaft female thread М8 depth of 20 mm. It is possible to screw the tool in this opening for dismantle. Depending on execution of a power shaft in it there can be an opening in diameter of 6.8 mm that corresponds to internal diameter of carving М8. Before installation clear a profile шлицов of the greasing remains.

Power shaft of execution 1: Insert a shaft into the main transfer so that the lock ring was distinctly fixed.

Thus establish horizontally the hinge case not to warp shlitsevy a shaft at installation. The case of the hinge should be located densely to a case of the main transfer.

Power shaft of execution 2


1. Clear a surface between a connecting flange and a locking cover.
2. Establish a shaft at a connecting flange.
3. Slightly grease a carving and a basic surface of a head of new Torx screws.
4. Establish a new washer and screw Torx screws. Screws tighten cross-wise the moment 70Нм.
5. Fix new being self-stopped nuts steering draft and bars.

At an inhaling of nuts the power shaft is necessary for bringing into horizontal situation. For this purpose it is necessary to raise the holder of a wheel a jack.
The moments of an inhaling are given in Specifications.

6. Fix the sensor of number of turns at a fist the moment 8Нм.
7. Insert connecting draft of the stabilizer and fix it the moment 40Нм.
8. Establish a support and fix it the moment 55Нм, address to the Section Removal and installation of a back support.
9. Establish into place back wheels so that the marks put at removal coincided. Previously grease with a thin layer of bearing greasing aligning belt of a disk of a wheel on a nave. Bolts of fastening of a wheel do not grease. Rusty bolts replace. Wrap bolts. Lower the car on wheels and tighten bolts cross-wise the moment 110Нм.
10. Tighten the parking brake.
11. Screw a new dvenadtsatigranny nut with a fillet and tighten the moment 220Нм.

Thus the car should stand wheels on the earth. It is necessary to replace a nut with the new surely. At an inhaling include transfer and tighten the parking brake.

12. Fix a nut for what with a drift hammer a fillet into a groove so that between a groove and a fillet there was no gap.

13. Release the parking brake.
14. Check oil level in the main transfer.
